There are separate sections for 6th, 7th, and 8th grades below. I will put additional assignment directions there when necessary, ie. major writing assignments.  You will also find Challenge Assignments in that space.

English Homework Help

How we make English education come to life:

• 6th Graders - Combine Language Arts and Science and what do you get? Research reports on different kinds of scientists and the English teacher hears about some scientists for the first time. The students wrote research reports and gave an oral presentation to their teachers and classmates. Some students even include a Power Point presentation.
  

• 7th Graders - Create stories using vocabulary words. The classes brainstormed ideas. Then in several groups, the students decided on a scenario and put events in chronological order. Finally each student wrote his/her own version of the story using at least ten of their vocabulary words. Sharing ideas and writing a story sure beats taking a test!
